health care (Medicare) or any other social security benefits.
Permanent Visa Entitlements
Permanent resident visa holders have the right to live and work in Australia. As a
permanent resident visa holder, you are entitled to receive public health care (Medicare).
Generally as a newly arrived resident you are required to wait for two-years (2 years) before
you could receive any social security payments.
