Australian Working Holiday Visa Requirements

Initial Working Holiday Visa Application must be lodged and visa granted while outside of Australia.
Aged between 18 and 30 years (inclusive) - this means you can apply for a visa when you are 30 years of age (not 31).
Canada, France and Ireland passport holders aged between 18 and 35 years (inclusive) - this means you can apply for a visa when you are 35 years of age (not 36).
If you have any dependent children they will not be able to be to accompany you in Australia while you hold the visa.
You must have sufficient funds (generally deemed to be at least AU$5,000) to support your trip and purchase a return airfare.

Extra requirements for the United States of America (USA) passport holders:
- You must have graduated from High School.

Extra requirements for the second Working Holiday Visa:
- Completed at least 3 months Specified Work in Regional Australia whilst holding your first Working Holiday Visa

Extra requirements for the third Working Holiday Visa:
- Completed at least 6 months Specified Work in Regional Australia whilst holding your second Working Holiday Visa
- The full 6 months must have been undertaken after 1st July 2019

Working Holiday Visa Conditions
- You cannot work for the same employer for more than 6 months (12 months for an agricultural employer).
- You cannot engage in study or training for more than 4 months.
