Student Visa Entitlements
As a temporary resident visa holder, you will generally not be entitled
to receive public health care (Medicare) or any other social security
benefits.
As a student visa holder you may be entitled to the following:
- Work up to 20 hours per week once you have entered Australia and commenced
your course;
- Include family dependents in your application - eg. spouse (Married
/ De facto);
- Travel to and from Australia for the duration of the visa;
- Apply to extend your stay in Australia.
