Investor Retirement (Subclass 405) Visa:
This visa type is suitable for a person who is above the age of 55, has sufficient finances to
support themselves independently in retirement.
There are several requirements that applicants must meet in order to be considered for a Retirement Visa:
- The main applicant must be aged 55 years or older;
- The application may include a spouse, but applicants must NOT have dependent children;
- Applicants must be able to meet health requirements, as stipulated by the Australian Government.; and
- Have arranged Sponsorship by an Australian State or Territory Government agency.
Must be able to meet the financial requirements of the visa:

If the applicant does NOT intend to settle in a Regional Area of Australia:
- The applicant must have assets available for transfer to Australia in excess of AU$750,000;
- The applicant must have an income of at least AU$65,000 per annum; and
- The applicant must be able to make a designated investment of at least AU$750,000.

If the applicant intends to settle in a Regional Area of Australia:
- The applicant must have assets available for transfer to Australia in excess of AU$500,000;
- The applicant must have an income of at least AU$50,000 per annum; and
- The applicant must be able to make a designated investment of at least AU$500,000.
The application can be made from within, or outside of Australia.
