This is for short stay business activities (not for work). Usually your business activities would be completed within 6 weeks. You cannot be paid by the Australian organisation with this type of visa.

Attending a conference, trade fair or seminar (not being paid by an organiser).

2: Highly Specialised Work

You are being formally invited by an Australian company to perform short term, highly specialised and non-ongoing work.

Professionals, Managers and Tradespeople;
Install imported equipment;
After sales service;
Emergency repair.

3: Invited Participant

You are invited by an organisation operating in Australia to participate in a specific cultural or social event or event. You must be invited and paid by the organisation directly responsible for or which has a formal role in the event.

Speaker/ presenter at a conference being paid an appearance fee by the organiser;
Sports competitors;
Persons conducting workshops;
Public lecturers;
Promotional activities that do not require a performance;
Artists, Authors and Photographers.

4: Entertainer

Work in the entertainment industry in film, television or live productions in either a performance or behind-the-scenes role, such as directing, producing and other production roles.

5: Researcher

Invited to participate or observe in an Australian research project or to undertake a research activity at an Australian tertiary or research institution related to your field of study.

6: Religious Worker

Full time religious worker, serving the religious objectives of a religious institution in Australia.

7: Sport

Play, coach or instruct under contract to an Australian sporting club or organisation.

8: Other

Work exchange in a skilled position, youth exchange, superyacht crew, domestic worker (foreign executive) or to participate in a government endorsed major event.
