Moving to Australia?

Arranging your banking in Australia before you arrive, offers you a number of benefits. Two of the biggest are having the ability to transfer money to your new country at a point in time when you can benefit most from foreign exchange rates and having fast access to your funds when you arrive.

We can help you set-up your banking in Australia with NAB up to 12 months before you arrive.

Setting up your accounts is easy via our simple online application form and your account(s), which are interest bearing, will normally be open and ready to receive funds within 2-5 working days.

We will advise you of your account details via a secure email which will also contain your international money transfer details and the name of your dedicated banker in destination country. We provide all of our customers with a named banker, who has experience of dealing with migrant customers, as we recognise that you have unique needs. It is important to note that you will not be able to withdraw funds from your account until you have been formally identified by your banker.

When you arrive in Australia you will meet with your banker, who will formally identify you, fully activate your accounts, provide you with your bank cards and talk to you about your plans and financial needs.

In addition to your banker you will be supported by our dedicated Migrant Banking Team, many of who have first hand experience in moving to new countries! They are there to help you and answer your banking questions.
