If you wish to come under the current skilled immigration programme, you should act now and apply for a skills assessment as soon as possible and pass the English language test as these are required before you can lodge your Australia working visa under the current skilled migration program.

However, from the 1st of July 2012, one of the biggest changes to the Australian immigration system in years is set to be implemented.
Last May 10, 2011, the Australian government has announced its decision to implement a new way to manage its Skilled Migration using as a basis the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) and a subsequent invitation to apply.

This new Skilled Migration Selection Model for 2012 is called Skilled Migrant Selection Register or simply called SkillSelect and will be introduced on July 1, 2012.

Under the SkillSelect Skilled Migration Model, an Australian skilled visa applicant will undergo an electronic skilled migrant selection system based upon a two-stage process. Australia skilled visa applicant is required to first submit claims for skilled migration through an online EOI. Then subsequently, the Australian working visa applicant must wait for the invitation that would allow the intending applicant to make an Australia working visa application before she can lodge an application. This is a significant change from the current skilled migration program, as working visa Australia applicants for Independent skilled, Family Sponsored skilled, State or Territory Sponsored skilled, Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS), Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS), or Subclass 457 Temporary Business Skills programs will be required to wait to receive an invitation in order to lodge a work visa Australia application.

Once invited, as the SkillSelect electronic system will then ensure a match between the number of applicants and the number of available places providing greater certainty for visa applicants and a much more streamlined processing times, the invited prospective applicants are given 60 days for them to lodge that visa application using the department’s online application system through SkillSelect. Visa processing will then follow the procedures in place at the time the application is lodged.

An EOI will remain active in the SkillSelect for a duration period of two years or until the work visa applicant is either sponsored by an Australian employer or is granted a visa on the basis of an invitation and subsequent application, whichever occurs sooner. An EOI can be updated by the intending skilled migrants at any time and can be renewed after the two years.

So, if you don’t want to come under the new changes in the skilled migration, then apply now for an Australian work visa. If you don’t have the time and forbearance, then let National Visas make your visa application simpler and hassle free.

National Visas is Australia’s topnotch Australian immigration advice and visa provider with years of experience in the Australian immigration industry, proven by the thousands of Australian visa approvals gotten by their clients under their expert and effective services, assistance and support.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="1" href="http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/blog/australia-visas/more-job-and-immigration-opportunities-in-australia/"></g:plusone>

The continuous economic growth in Australia only means more job opportunities for international citizens. But many Australian businesses and consumers need mutual confidence to keep the economy progressing. It is believed that this progress in Australian economy will continue to increase in the next months as GBP records are positive and the Australian dollar has been strengthening against the US dollar, UK pound and Euro. It only means that Australia had finally escaped the pain of the previous global recession.

On the other hand, businesses are booming because new investors continue to come in. As a result, employment rate continues to rise as more labor is needed to fill in numbers of job vacancies. This is where more immigrants come in as most companies needed skilled workers from other countries whose skills are relevant to the list of skilled works available. Other trade occupations are also reported to currently experiencing shortages. The country is actually experiencing various skill shortages and it is a situation expected to continue.

Australia is currently in high demand for skilled immigrant workers and Australian immigration expects more applicants to have their working visa processed so they can finally start to work in Australia. Most of these career opportunities are taken advantage of Britons when immigrating to Australia as they possess excellent English language skills which give them more points under the points based system for working visa Australia.

There are actually four main ways for Australian migration. This can be through family members residing in Australia or you may be a returning resident. This can also be possible through employment and as a refugee or humanitarian migrant. Despite of the complex and time consuming process of Australian visa, a report shows that the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship confirms that Australia has accepted more than 6.8 million immigrants since 1945.

Visas in Australia required applicants to possess valid travel documentation (such as a passport), complete a physical examination conducted by a doctor approved by Australian immigration authorities, and obtain police reports (confirming the presence or absence of a criminal record) from anywhere they have lived for at least one year since age 16. Disapproval or denying of visas may be possible but there are some flexibility regarding travel documentation is available under certain circumstances.

To be able to work in Australia, applicants must be under the age of 45 currently. This age limit will increase to 49 beginning in the summer of 2011. Applicants should also have relevant work experience in their nominated occupation.

Various types of visas are available depending on your circumstances. A subclass 175 Skilled Independent Migrant visa is appropriate if you do not have a job offer from Australia yet. If your Skilled Independent visa has been approved, this gives you many benefits as this serves as a permanent visa in Australia.

To attain Australian citizenship, applicants must be legally resided in Australia for four years, including at least one year as a permanent resident. The prospective citizen must demonstrate good character which is established through reference to a criminal record and pass a citizenship test in English. There are numerous exceptions and modifications apply to these rules, such as disability-based exemptions to the citizenship test.

Australia is a great country to live in and build your career for your future endeavors!

Australian economy was one of the first to leave the worldwide recession and continues to attract overseas skilled workers to fill new positions which are becoming available on a regular basis. It is said that the economy has been converted from one which was dependent on manufacturing sometime ago to one which is now based upon the services sector. The services sector of Australia is the one which served as the engine room of the Australian economy. That is why this country is known for providing jobs for overseas workers. For many years, Australia has been known in mining industry around the world with massive natural resources which continue to service a significant part of the employment market in Australia.

For Australia’s working condition, just like any other country such as UK, the average working week is around 37 hours, Monday to Friday, overtime payments for out of hours work and holiday and sick leave entitlement. Your capability and improvement as an employee is well-documented by your employer which in the end give you well-deserved incentives.
It is reported that over 11 million people available for work 75 per cent are employed by the services industry and 21.1 per cent by industry while the rate of unemployment in Australia increased from 4.2 per cent in 2008 to 5.7per cent in 2009. But it is set to return to lower levels as the economy picks up after the worldwide recession.

Most of the Australian workforces are made up of overseas skilled workers who moved to the country over the years.
