Skills Australia Needs Events To Be In Berlin and Athens
September 12, 2011 – Australian immigration will host skilled immigration to Australia event in Germany and Greece.
Australia’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) announced just recently in a press release that it will host its Skills Australia Needs information sessions in Berlin, Germany on 6 October and in Athens, Greece on 8 and 9 October this year.
Skills Australia Needs events are designed to help address current skill shortages in Australia by promoting skilled migration options in order to encourage people to migrate to Australia as skilled workers in skilled shortage occupations in Australia.
Currently, Australia is experiencing chronic skills shortage occupations including jobs in health care, engineering, and certain trade occupations and thus the Skills Australia Needs events targeted occupations will include engineering professionals, health professionals including doctors, nurses and allied health professionals and automotive, construction, electrical and mechanical trades.
Australian employers and state or territory governments who have employment and sponsorship opportunities and are interested in participating as an exhibitor as well as Skilled workers in health or engineering professions, automotive, construction, electrical and mechanical trades are encouraged to register their interest to attend the said migration to Australia event in either Berlin or Athens.
These information sessions have been held for a number of years in various countries in order to provide information to skilled workers about skilled visa Australia options, focusing on matching skilled workers with Australian state and territory governments and employers in target occupational areas. So these information sessions are a way for Australian employers and State and Territory governments to meet people with the skills and experience needed to fill job vacancies in Australia.
According to a DIAC spokesman, the upcoming Australian migration information sessions will provide a chance for skilled workers in Germany and Greece to learn all about skilled Australian visa options and possible sponsorship and employment opportunities in Australia.
Moreover, the DIAC spokesman said that in order to be qualified to attend these events, participants must have qualifications that are recognized in Australia, have experience in a shortage occupation, have a high level of English language ability, and be less than 50 years of age.
