Skilled immigration reforms in Australia

Australia June 28, 2010 – Recent news that has been spread all across in Australia regarding some changes with their Immigration services. According to the Immigration Minister Chris Evans statement said this changes will certainly benefits the Western Australian business to come across the Migrants that they require to fill up their skilled labour needs.

Immigration Minister Evans said a few days ago to the Western Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Workforce Summit in Perth and had the following to say:
‘The Rudd Government inherited a system driven by the large number of people who want to come to Australia rather than the needs of the Australian economy. There were thousands of cooks and hairdressers placed in the queue ahead of highly skilled occupations such as of doctors, nurses and engineers.”

In accordance to the report that the Rudd Government executes this reform to build a demand-driven migration system in which according to them will target the needed skills. This way the shortage of skilled employees will surely fill up. From the data that has been released showed this current year almost 29 percent in 2007 to 2008 to 55 percent has been increased with their employers and state-sponsored immigration.

Indeed also the Western Australian businesses strongly increasing with the use of this new system on hiring and looking for a skilled employee from across the country.
