September 2012′s Next Round of SkillSelect

September 6, 2012 – It is anticipated that the next rounds of invitations to apply for skilled migration through SkillSelect will occur during this month of September.

The automated rounds of invitations to apply for immigration to Australia will be issued under the Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) and the Skilled Regional (family) Sponsored (subclass 489).

Last 1st of September 2012, the first round of the September invitations will be issued while the second batch will occur on the 15th of September, covering a total of 1000 invitations (500 each).

Specifically, there will be a total of 900 automated invitations for the Skilled Independents (subclass 189) that are expected to be issued this September, of which 450 invitations has already been issued last September 1 and another 450 will be issued on September 15.

As for the Skilled Regional (Family) Sponsored (subclass 489), there are only a total of 100 invitations, of which 50 automated invitations were already issued last September 1 and the other 50 is scheduled to be issued on September 15.

Moreover, in each round of automated invitations to apply for Australian immigration, the automated invitations will be issued based on the highest point scoring Expressions of Interest (EOIs) submitted for each in these subclasses. For those who have the same level or tie of points scored, the order of invitation that will be issued will be determined basing on the time they reached their current point score in that subclass (also called as the visa status date).

According to the Skillselect, those that have been invited should expect to receive a notification sent to their email address, as well as in their SkillSelect inbox.

To date, this September round of automated invitations is the second round of the automated invitations to apply to migrate under the skilled independent and skilled family sponsored visas.

The first automated round of invitations to apply to migrate under the skilled independent and skilled family sponsored visas was completed last August 1, 2012 under SkillSelect, of which there were only 100 invitation places that were issued.

Meanwhile, it was still since July 1, 2012 that state and territory governments have been nominating clients, which had also resulted in automated invitations being issued.
