Oprah Winfrey showcases Australia in her Australian Tour
December 21, 2010 – As part of her fully-paid 8-day trip to Australia, Oprah surprised her American studio audience in its 25th and final season as they filmed her “Ultimate Australian Adventure” episodes in Uluru.
Oprah mentioned how Uluru touched her heart when she visited the place and met the Indigenous people in the area. She said that it is her way of showing respects to the Aboriginal people and how she respects the land and culture of these people.
The talkshow queen’s Australian tour has been seen as an incredible opportunity to market Australian landscapes and adventures to the world. Oprah even enthralls herself in Australian culture during the trip. She even cuddled a baby koala bear called Elvis on her trip to Hamilton Island Wildlife Part in Whitsundays.
The Tourism Australia hoped this Oprah’s final episodes will showcase the country’s attraction and to encourage more holidaymakers or tourists to visit the country. Tourists must have tourist visas to Australia to be able to visit the country. ETA Australia visa is the most known type of visa which allows for tourists to stay up three months in the country. It is the most convenient type of visa as it only requires a tourist to apply online and it is just electronically attached to your passport once approved. No paperwork or stamps needed to process visa from Australia. For holidaymakers, they can apply holiday Australia visa and student visa Australia for those students who want to take their degrees at the same time enjoy the landscapes in the country.
