Many people from UK are attracted to migrate to Australia as the country is in need of skilled workers as its mining industry is booming.
With Australia making major changes in its Australian immigration policies to answer the local labor shortage, many people in the UK are applying for Australia visa.
According to The Emigration Group, a Cheshire-based immigration company, Warrington had ranked second in the UK for the number of people making serious inquiries about immigrating.
With the increase in skilled worker’s jobs available in rural Australia, many UK residents are planning to migrate to Australia.
New Zealand: A Backdoor to Australia
With Australia’s stringent immigration policies, many people are migrating to Australia by way of New Zealand.
Ever since the informal Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement has allowed for the free movement of citizens of one country to the other, New Zealand citizens are able to live permanently and work in Australia. New Zealand passport holders are issued with Special Category Visas (SCV) on arrival in Australia.
With these, people who want to migrate to Australia will have to become a New Zealand passport holder by applying for citizenship. Then they can, in most cases, work in Australia.
Though the SCV is a temporary visa and can still be revoked if a crime is committed, the New Zealand citizen does have the option to apply for Australian permanent visa.
