September 22, 2011 – The Australia Government agency responsible for the international and domestic marketing of Australia as a destination for leisure and business travel, Tourism Australia, has recently launched the second phase of the ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ (TNLA) domestic marketing campaign – the Dream Team promotion last September 16, 2011.

This next phase — “Inspire phase” — will invite Australians to share their favorite Australian experience with their fellow Aussies at www.nothinglikeaustralia.com.au by profiling images & stories in media outlets and to form a celebrity Dream Team to showcase a dream Australian holiday and to also nominate their holiday Dream Team of up to five people they’d most like to share their dream holiday with.

The ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ (TNLA) domestic marketing campaign has three key phases of activity taking place during the promotional period namely: Invite —- which ran last 15 August – 30 Sept 2011, Inspire — which is currently running right now until 31 October 2011 then Engage — which will run from November 1 to 30 2011.

This campaign is aimed to increase the number of people who will apply for tourist visas to Australia. Moreover, the campaign also aims to increase the number of people to apply visa to Australia, particularly Australian business visas.
Media Partners

In order to inspire Australians to upload their favorite experiences and to nominate their Holiday Dream Team, Tourism Australia will implement an integrated promotional campaign with media partners across digital, print, TV, radio and social media channels.

Campaign activity that will include advertising, content integration, editorial placements, competition giveaways, utilization of the Friends of Australia to act as campaign ambassadors and the formation of a Celebrity Dream Team who will travel to five different Australian locations in five days culminating in a live national radio broadcast from Uluru on Friday 7 October, 2011 will take place across all three phases.
Thanks to support by the three key partners – Luxury Lodges of Australia, Qantas and Sony Music, consumers who upload their experiences or nominate their Dream Team could share in over $300,000 in prizes.
