Employees lost their shifts because of under time

Australia February 8, 2010 – According to the newspaper The Australian report that most of the teenager employees and their employer, the Terang and District Co-operative, 210 kilometres south west of Melbourne have been set an arrangement and understanding that the following employees must work at least 1.5 hours after school. However Kevin Rudd said that this new systems might lose most of the job of those employees who can commit with the new time schedule and regulations.

Aged between 16 and 18 employees have been already lose their job Victorian hardware store because the Fair Work Act won’t let them work less than three hours a day. Co-operative general manager Charlie Duynhoven suggested that they can work for only 1.5 hours because the end of their school is 4pm and store closed at 5.30pm.

“I want to employ these kids but with these new laws, it doesn’t allow you to. I can’t open any longer. I can’t afford to pay them for three hours, when they don’t work for three hours.” Mr Duynhoven said
