As Australia Immigration wants to attract as many foreign tourists through their new points system which make work in Australia and so with working visa Australia easier for applicants to achieve, the Qatar Local Organizing Committee of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011 (QLOC) also bring in a new entry visa to facilitate new entry for football fans from all over the world during the tournament. It was discussed by Asian Cup director Hilal Al Mohannadi in The Peninsula yesterday.

Major requirements will be strictly assess by the Airport Authorities upon arrival and failure to comply will result to denial of entry to the country.
The application is just like applying for Australian migration wherein applicants are required to fill a simple form with personal details and details of the dependents traveling with the applicant, if any.
Al Mohannadi added that this new entry visa will be available to people from all nationalities without any “discrimination.” The government immigration is looking forward to give a further boost to football fans planning to visit Qatar for the Asian Cup. It is reported that foreign nationals have started applying since the new service was launched.
The tournament will run from January 7 to 29 and will be hosted in five stadiums across the country.
