Demand for Workers Within Australia may be Push Due to Immigration Cuts
September 8, 2010 Australia – Immigration Cap, which was signed as the Migration Act since 1958, allows the Minister to ‘cap’ – this means that they will be able to limit the number of visas which can be granted each year in a particular visa subclass.
The effects of the decreasing migration to Australia may lead to widespread labour shortages all over the country according to some business analysts. Departments such as the Mining Investment are expected to increase by 40 – 50% over next year, and then it appears that the demand for skilled workers and general labour will increase in demand same with the rise of the economy.
Craig James had said that the pressure is expected to rise soon after thi crisis on immigration shortage. Comm. Sec –Economist Craig James, also presses that the high demand for mining type staff and those wages are also expected to rise. In addition, the high demand for labour sector will also be re-examined by the HIA for new plans on balancing the demand and the decline of workers, and the demand for new housing in Australia.
