Biometric Data for Australian visa applicants
Australia March 1, 2010 – According to recent report the Australian Government has broadcasted the latest process for all the Australian visa applicants. It said the government have given $69 million over the next four years to bring in biometric date checks for Australian Visa applications. This new system and data recording the Australian visa assessment will set new rules and regulations.
For the more security purposes this biometrics data checking will be processed in 10 countries all around the world. This new system the visa applicants will need to lodge their documents for applications and submit their fingerprints together with the facial images for double security purposes.
The process will work like a data recording, once the applicant got his biometrics data the information will be going to use in measuring the biological characteristics of that person. This would act as a unique identity for an individual and will be recorded for his character confirmation.
“Establishing the identity of non-citizens is a fundamental part of both visa assessment and border processing, and that the use of biometrics is crucial to keeping Australia’s borders secure,” according the Minister for Immigration and Citizenships Chris Evans
These biometrics data process have been approved with the agreement of the data sharing for visa applicants to the country of United Kingdom and Canada.
