October 11, 2011 – With the intention to inform Greek students who want to migrate to Australia on what they need to do to study Down Under, two Australian education institutes are currently visiting Greece.

The two Australian education institutes are Australian Industrial Systems Institute (AISI), a Registered Training Organization that offers high quality education of Australian Quality Framework and international standards, in a wide range of discipline areas, to students from all over the globe; and Institute of Tertiary and Higher Education Australia (ITHEA), a Registered Training Provider (RTO) and a new and innovative educational institution which provides nationally recognized courses for both Local and International students.

Representatives from both Australian education institutes, the Australian Industrial Systems Institute and Institute of Tertiary and Higher Education Australia, will be providing informative sessions on the ways to apply for their courses, the type of study involved, what life is like in Australia and the student visa Australia requirements.

According to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of AISI, Mrs. Roula Tsiolas, in her statement with Neos Kosmos, the said informative session is an initiative of AISI in “responding to the needs of people who have called through” and enquired about skilled education training in Australia.
ITHEA, the other Australian education institute, is also organizing in Athens and Thessaloniki a series of informative sessions for Greek students who wish to study English in Australia.
Managing Director of ITHEA, Peter Jasonides, stated that ITHEA is getting a lot of queries from Greeks who have received the wrong information on the process of migrating to Australia.
AISI’s information sessions are set to be held in Athens on October8 and 9 while ITHEA’s informative sessions are set to be held in the two major Greek cities of Athens and Thessaloniki between October 2 and 14, respectively.

Addendum

It must be noted that before international students can be enrolled in Australia, they must have applied for a travel visas to Australia for students.

After the government’s move to follow the 41 recommendations of the Knights report, the travel visa Australia for students’ requirements are now much more lenient than before. These reforms on the Australia visiting visa for students were aimed to attract more foreign students to study in Australia.
