Australia isolation over refugees
July 16, 2010 Australia – From the recent news that has been spread all across the land down under stated that the country has been undertaken regarding the plans for a regional asylum-seeker center despite a rejection by the parliament of East Timor. However according to the officials who set their unanimous vote stated that almost 34 of the impoverished country’s 66 parliamentarians, was not a government motion.
“We’ve confirmed that the prime minister and president remain engaged in discussions about the possibility of the regional asylum center being based in East Timor. We’re pressing on with that regional solution. We believe a regional processing solution involving regional cooperation makes a lot of sense.” Small Business Minister Craig Emerson told Sky News.
In accordance to the report the Canberra’s officials has been discussed this project, which is a major plank of Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s bid to be successful in this approaching elections. In which the Foreign Minister Stephen Smith will be having a discussions and talks this week in Indonesia regarding the latest issues on immigrants and refugees in Australia.
