Australia is the Top Emigration Choice for Brits
June 27, 2011 Australia – Last May, currency broker Foreign Currency Direct has made a survey of 2,000 bosses of small to medium-sized firms in the UK.
The survey found out that almost one in four people who are self-employed are considering Australia as a possible destination for migration in the next five years.
Just recently, Foreign Currency Direct again released a new report stating that close to one in three (31%) of UK employees have also considered migration to Australia.
The new report revealed that Australia and New Zealand were listed as the most popular destinations for would-be Brit migrants.
The report data shows that over half (55%) of 18-24 year olds and 42% of 25-34% year olds, that is the younger sections of the workforce in UK, stated that they have most likely considered leaving the country and moving overseas.
Both surveys found out that the main reason for emigrating abroad was to achieve a better career prospect and work/life balance.
The report also revealed that data has also given emphasis to the appeal of immigrating to Australia, with data showing 70% of would-be Brit emigrants listing Australia and New Zealand as the first choice destination for migration, providing Australia’s chance of better economic conditions, attractive work / life balance and better climate as the major ‘pull’ factors.
According to the Currency Analyst at Currencies.co.uk, Stephen Hughes, the study shows that particularly among the younger age groups, they felt a severe lack of confidence in the employment condition in the UK.
Currencies.co.uk has observed since the start of the economic crisis a remarkable rise in people doing transferring money transactions for rental deposits as they have secured employment overseas.
Though not all of the young Brits will end up moving overseas, an increase in people acquiring visa for Australia for Australia migration has been observed as many people have transferred funds to Australia for their rental deposit.
