November 22, 2011 – Attention UK skilled workers interested to apply for work visa to Australia!
Skills Australia Needs information sessions will once again be hosted by Australia’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) in the United Kingdom.
This coming weekend of 25-26 February 2012, DIAC, Australia’s Immigration Department, will be hosting two informational sessions in London. This is to promote employer and state sponsored skilled migration to potential skilled migrants who want to apply for work visas to Australia residing in the United Kingdom.

The Skills Australia Needs events are informational sessions designed to help address current skill shortages in Australia by promoting skilled migration options. Australian employers and state and territory governments can participate in the events and meet people with the skills and experience needed to fill job vacancies in Australia which cannot be filled through the local labor market.
Thru the events, pre-screened targeted UK citizens who have certain skill sets in demand in Australia will be able to obtain information on work visa in Australia sponsorship, employment, and lifestyle options. These informational meetings will pave the way for Australian employers to discuss potential employment and sponsorship opportunities with pre-screened UK skilled workers. Likewise, this is also a good opportunity for skilled workers in the UK to find new opportunities to immigrate and work in Australia. However, only those with recognized qualifications and experience in one of the occupations targeted will be selected and will be granted an application for Australian visa, particularly working visa for Australia.
Thru the Skills Australia Needs events, there will be an opportunity for the Australian employers and immigration officials to meet with skilled UK workers and explain the work visa Australian options and benefits of immigrating to Australia. For Australian employers and state or territory governments to participate in the Skills Australia Needs events, they must have employment and sponsorship opportunities in the targeted occupations.
Online registrations for the London information sessions will be open in December 2011.
Only those skilled workers who register their interest and who are assessed as having the requisite skills and qualifications in the targeted occupations will be invited to attend the information sessions. Entry will be free of charge.
