Air China’s first online booking engine for SMEs

According to the latest news that has been reported that the Amadeus publicized the deployment of its online booking engine to Air China’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Programme, Air China Rewards. This online booking engine according to the report will power uncertainties and ticketing by SMEs based in China, Australia, Canada, Singapore and the United Kingdom and agree to real-time bookings and an upfront discount of 3-5 percent on air fares upon enrolment to the Programme. The booking engine incorporates Amadeus’ e-Retail, Web e-Ticketing and Payment Gateway solutions. Air China is the first Chinese carrier to adopt the Amadeus’ e-Retail solution to power an online booking engine specifically for SMEs.

Jia Tiesheng, General Manager of Sales, of Air China Limited, said, “We are constantly seeking ways to provide services that will better cater to our customers’ changing needs. Adopting the Amadeus e-commerce platform will not only provide customers with a more efficient online booking system, but also benefit them with added incentives such as upfront discounted rates.”

He added that from the Access Markets International (AMI) Partners research that they will only employ up to 90 percent of the world’s workforce whether it is from small to medium business. In addition in the account is 50 percent of GDP worldwide, this will help them establish a world-class e-commerce resolution to achieve and reach their possible customers and client so it will help them expand their company.

According to John Chapman, Vice President, Airline Group, Amadeus Asia Pacific, stated that Amadeus by now provides the booking engine that powers the Air China website, and now they are helping the airline to gain SME customer group through the Air China Rewards Programme.
