Australia, March 17, 2010 – The SROM a well-known pro-abortion feminist organization in Poland has recently launched an ad campaign promoting “abortion tourism” to Britain by showing the Polish women where they can get a free abortion at a UK clinic. This organization and program has been sponsored by the National Health Service (NHS). One of the SROM’s poster has the image of a woman wearing an underwear with written words “my choice”. The group make uses of the Mastercard advertising logo conjoined red and orange circles but the only difference is there’s a “SROM” written on the poster.

You can see and read the following on the poster “Plane ticket to England – 300 zloty ($107), Accommodation – 240 zloty ($85). Abortion in a public clinic – 0 zloty.”

“Britain has become the abortion capital of Europe. Our laws are far, far too lax,” according to Daily Mail that Conservative party MP Anne Widdecombe said against in protest.

However the spokeswoman for the UK Department of Health said that even this has been approved there is no way they will approve to give permission of a Polish woman to travel in the UK for abortion purposes. She added that there are no terms UK immigration rules for people to come to this country for the reason of acquiring NHS treatment and it would be against rules and regulations.

According to UK tourism news in 2008 report by the Polish Federation for Women and Family Planning claimed that 10,000 Polish women have gone to Britain and had an abortion in 2007 with the procedures costing the NHS between £5 million and £10 million.
